We are seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant in a new SSC based in Trnava.
Do you want to be the main part in creating the whole new RTR department? Which is one of the important heads of accounting that calls for diligence and accuracy.

We are building strategic business centers in 3 global locations - all after a successful merger of 2 great automotive brands. Global Business Center will provide centralized, highly professional, cost-effective accounting and transaction services to Marelli internal clients.

You will play the main role in the up-coming transition, take responsibility for month-end journal entries to support proper transaction recording. You will be identifying, recommending, and resolving issues and process improvement opportunities at the account and business group level.

Your Record to Report responsibilities will be:
  • Intercompany: Reconciliation, Solving issues occurred while booking, make correction postings
  • Taking over the transition process
  • Accounting by IFRS principles
  • Proactive reporting and resolution of unreconciled/reconciling items
  • Prepare and post manual journal entries, ensure all MJEs contain appropriate supporting documentation
  • Approve balance sheet reconciliations and manual journal entries
  • Lead special projects on various topics as needed, lead identifying and implementing process improvements, proactive application of CI culture
  • Strong experience with global operations, including acquisitions, joint ventures, financial planning and contracts
  • Responsible for more junior colleagues


  • Business education degree or adequate professional experience focusing on Finance/Accounting
  • 8+ years of experience in accounting
  • Fluency in English
  • Big advantage if you speak Polish, French, German or Italian!
  • General accounting / reporting overview
  • MS-Office, SAP, Oracle & Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience
  • BPO/SSC relevant industry experience is a must
  • Strong communications skills and analytical skills
  • Team player with pro-active approach and problem solving personality
