Description

As a new Manager of Operations and Performance Improvements, you will take part of the team - The Office of Value Creation and Change.
This team sits within the finance department and is responsible for driving operational improvement and efficiency across the finance functions of the business. This includes various projects with an aim to standardize and harmonize finance processes and where relevant, migrate these to one of the company’s shared service centers.
In addition, the team conducts performance improvement projects for finance processes including root cause analysis, and where needed drive improvement programs across the organization outside the finance function.

To be successful in this role, you should have demonstrable experience driving operational improvements, strong analytical and communication skills, be well organized and able to work under pressure.

Your core responsibilities will be:
  • Collaborate with department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects
  • Work with the shared service centers to understand finance processes and identify bottlenecks and efficiency gains
  • Conduct root cause analysis of process issues and where necessary work with relevant departments outside finance to resolve
  • Work with manufacturing and logistics teams to understand plant processes and impact on efficient finance processes in the shared service centers. Identify areas for improvement and work with plant leaders to ensure buy-in to change
  • Analyse financial data and develop management KPIs and tracking
  • Work with Data Science team to automate management information and reporting where possible
  • Oversee the development of projects and support team members with training and development
  • Provide regular reports on the progress of the project and present this to stakeholders and leadership teams

Requirements

What do we expect from our future colleague?
  • A degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
  • Project Management experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification may be advantageous
  • A minimum of 4-5 years experience, ideally in a manufacturing organisation driving operational and performance improvements or within a finance team
  • Good understanding of financial processes (a general understanding of financial elements such as P&L, balance sheet, management KPIs etc.)
  • Good understanding of big data and automation techniques and when they could be used to improve processes and efficiencies
  • Leadership skills - you are able to coordinate activities to meet deadlines
  • Proactive and demonstrate the ability to build relationships across teams locally and internationally - YOU will be in contact with production plants as well as GBS organization in Trnava and Mexico
  • You are an open-minded person who is able to come up with solutions
  • Excellent excel and analytical skills (formulas, pivot tables, cross reference, double checks)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian and/or Spanish advantageous
