Country Chief Accountant with Group Reporting

The Country Chief Accountant is in charge to coordinate and manage the relationship with the services provider Global Business Services (“GBS”) and ensure that all the transactions are properly recorded in compliance with local statutory laws and are in contact with the external Tax advisor for the compliance activities.

You will be responsible for Slovak entities - 2 entities in Kechnec - powertrain and automotive lightning and GBS in Trnava.
Country Chief Accountant is a part of the Record-to-Report department (GBS), and closely cooperates with Country CFO and HQ in Japan.

Your main duties will be the following:

• Ensure the correct recording of all the administrative facts as well as correct filing of documents and ledgers in compliance with the civil and revenue laws
• Follow the changes in legislation or IFRS, and implement them into Slovak entities
• Provide periodical (estimated and final) reports, such as statements of accounts, financial statements, statements of assets and liabilities, and the balance sheet, ensuring an appropriate flow of information also for the "consolidated Financial Statement" and for the Statutory Financial Statement
• Control the correct recording of all the administrative facts as well as correct filing of documents and ledgers in compliance with the civil and revenue laws
• Support the various Finance BUs (GBS and production plants) operating in the Country in defining and designing the necessary controls aimed to improve the existing control environment over the financial reporting
• Provide oversight and assistance for the implementation and on-going maintenance of the tools running Manual Journal Entries and Account Reconciliations, if any, ensuring that the processes comply with good control practices
• Participate in the implementation of Marelli Finance policies and procedures
• Support Head Office in monitoring the use of the SAP Kernel Chart of Accounts in the Country

About YOU:

• Economic, accounting or finance university degree
• at least 2 - 3 years of experience as Chief Accountant or Auditor from Big 4
• Wealth experience with Slovak statutory accounting, IFRS, and group reporting
• Deep understanding of accounting principles in a wider scope and its impact on the group reporting
• Open-minded person, adaptable to fast-paced environment with a compassion for the corporate structure and policies
• Advanced user of MS Office and SAP (FI, CO)
